What is the difference between counselling and therapy?
Counselling offers clients new insightful ways to view their past and present experiences and behaviours, allowing them to become more empowered to want to change their unhealthy behaviours and coping mechanisms. On the other hand, therapy provides clients with tools to dive deeper into the underlying patterns and long-term issues that clients may have developed over time.
How do I contact or make a booking with you?
You can contact by simply making a booking. I will get back to you and schedule a free 10 minute consultation.
How long is a therapy session?
Each session is approximately 50 minutes long.
How long does therapy take?
Usually, therapy is not a long-term treatment. However, the length of therapy all depends on different factors such as thenature of the problem brought in by the client, commitment to therapy sessions, and most important, practicing and using tools provided by the therapist.
How do you help your clients?
My methods generally are to provide a safe space for each client, which allows for the client to bring me along on their journey and allow me to gain an understanding of their thought process and belief systems.
Why am I anxious about starting therapy?
It is completely normal to feel anxious and nervous about starting therapy. This is something that you have been wanting to do, and the first step is always the most difficult.
How long will it take for me to see results?
Each client’s current situation will be different, depending on their level of commitment to therapeutic exercises provided. however, results can be seen in just a few sessions.
How will I be contacted by the therapist?
Contact will be made either by email, whatsapp, phone or sms. A confirmation message will be sent after the initial first booking.
What should I expect on the first visit?
On the first visit, I will introduce myself and discuss my therapeutic methods and process.
How do I ensure that the sessions are confidential?
All my sessions with a client are strictly confidential except where I believe that there is a risk of harm to yourself or others.
